Selection
Club Selectors:
Head Coach & Convenor of Selectors – Tim Hutchins
Assistant Coach – Paul Fletcher
Skipper 1st XV – Andy Swainson
Skipper 2nd XV – Matt Pert
Selection will follow standard Rugby Club policy. When the selection panel meets on Tuesday nights to select Saturday’s playing teams, the following criteria will be taken into consideration:
- Training
- Previous Saturday’s performance
- Current form
- Injuries
- Availability
- Game plan/tactics
- Club Subscriptions
This year, the Club is taking an even stronger stance on Subscriptions. Non-payment of Club Subscriptions will result in a player being ineligible for selection until payment is fulfilled or until an agreed arrangement has been made with the club.
Selectors will assume a player is available for selection unless told otherwise. Selectors will not look well upon a player who is selected for a Saturday playing XV and does not show.
Squads will be announced on Thursday night at training, and then published on the clubs website for Friday morning
